Flower Guild

Do you like arranging flowers or would like to learn?  Then the Flower Guild may be a ministry that you would enjoy.  We design and arrange flowers for the services each Sunday.  Members currently serve on a rotating schedule.  The Flower Guild members are also instrumental in helping set up the Easter and Christmas displays.  

The duties include contacting the donor to see if there is any flower preference then picking up flowers and greenery on Thursday or Friday from Southern Floral (a wholesale company located in the Heights).  After picking up the flowers, some choose to take them home, condition them and go into the church Friday afternoon or Saturday morning to arrange them.   Others prefer picking up the flowers and arranging them immediately at the church.  The church supplies the containers for the arrangements.

Donating Sunday Flowers
Giving flowers for the offering is one of the ways we remember special people and times.  We invite people who would like to donate flowers to sign up on a Flower Guild Chart in the hallway just outside the church offices and indicate the occasion for which the flowers are presented or to e-mail this form [pdf link] to us. The donors name(s) and the occasion are printed in the weekly bulletin.  The cost is $40 for one side and $80 for both sides.
