Baptism

When someone is baptized, that person is brought to Jesus Christ, and made a member of Christ's Church.  "It is a new start to life in which the baptized person is accepted and sealed by God with the Holy Spirit to represent Christ to the world" (from A New Zealand Prayer Book).

The traditional days of Baptism are the Baptism of our Lord (the first Sunday of January), Easter Vigil, Pentecost, Trinity Sunday. All Saints Day, and when the bishop visits.  If you are interested in being baptized or have a child you want to be baptized, special preparation is required.  Please contact the clergy (713-528-6665) for more information.
