Organ Info
A focal point of St. Stephen's music ministry has been its two-manual, twenty-four-rank mechanical action (tracker) organ. Built and installed by J. W. Walker & Sons of Suffolk (Brandon) England (http://www.jwwalker.co.uk/), in 1987, this small, but versatile, instrument ably leads our congregational singing and plays a wide variety of organ literature very effectively. In June of 2008, the organ was thoroughly cleaned, adjusted, and several ranks of pipes re-voiced by Robert I. Coulter-Organbuilders (http://coulterorgans.com/), of Atlanta, Georgia.
The specifications of the organ are given below. These tonal resources give the organ its distinctive sound and sparkle. Please visit us on a Sunday morning to hear this beautiful and unique part of St. Stephen's Church.
