Children's Chapel
Children's Chapel is where young children participate in a liturgical worship service designed especially for their age group. We invite children ages 3 to 6 to a special service of the Word on Sunday mornings (9 & 11 AM September-May; 10:30 AM June-August). The children start out with their families in the nave. Prior to the gospel reading, Children's Chapel leaders and the children process out of the nave to the Children's Chapel. They rejoin their families at the Peace.
Each chapel service includes the gospel reading and a time for children to reflect - either through music, drama, art or discussion - "What is the Holy Spirit REALLY like?"
An adult musician leads the singing of traditional hymns as well as celebratory children's worship music. During Prayers of the People, special care is given to include children's concerns and thanksgivings.
Children's Chapel ministry nurtures the child's spiritual journey and, at their own pace and in their own time, helps them to more fully appreciate Episcopal liturgy and tradition.
